and am still desperately trying to think of an excuse to keep it for myself

Made from ceramic, i'm not sure of the exact date, pre 1950s i would say On the side is written 'Swinging 'Spice of Life' salt & pepper Her boobs wobble! those are the salt and pepper pots and they wobble about, as does her legs Very good condition, i think she has a tiny chip on her nose, but hard to tell.
