The two are co-planted and harvested together with the Melqo component having much higher sugar than the Bazaleti
which together gives a vibrant wine with moreish salty notes
The wine was aged in 25% new French oak Bousset barrels and the rest older neutral barrels
Each parcel at the estate is vinified individually and often co-planted in red and white grapes
